Focus on Performance
We focus on human performance improvement (HPI) at Interactive Services and recognize that every training effort has to answer the question, “What results will this achieve?”. We know that improving performance isn’t a one-time event and that formal training isn’t always the first or best answer in meeting behavioral outcomes you’re looking for.
We will help you determine what type of training is needed and how to achieve it most efficiently. We will identify where performance support tools will be most effective in the organization and how to make sure they’re seen and accessible to your workforce when they need them. And we’ll make sure that the right types of activities: eLearning, on-the-job training, mentoring, web apps, gaming, and other HPI tools, are used when and with whom they will be effective.
Leadership & Talent Development
Each organization we work with has its own particular needs in terms of leadership and talent development, and we design solutions to match. But while the individual needs may change from client to client, there is a broad objective in all cases of improving the performance levels of key talent, and developing a culture of leadership right throughout the workplace.
We know from research that some 80% of a new manager’s learning is from their co-workers. This may be a good thing or a bad thing – depending on who those co-workers happen to be!
But even with the best quality and most well-intentioned co-workers, you should not leave learning to chance in this fashion when it comes to new hire training. Rather, you should be looking to develop a leadership and talent development program that is thorough, comprehensive, and robust into the future. This is critical for the long-term success of any organization and demands onboarding processes that are carefully thought out.
Defining Leadership Development
When we use the term “leadership development,” we are referring to any form of activity that looks to improve a company’s leadership pool or individual leadership potential. Naturally, every company wants to be blessed with great leadership potential, but this is something that must be taught – rather than “picked up as you go along.”
A leadership development program that’s truly great will inevitably blend both the leadership and the functional aspects of a manager’s role, delivering a process of life-long learning that will constantly push the leadership boundaries of the individual.
Where Will Your Next Great Leader Come From?
Management development training is not a luxury – it’s a necessity. Interactive Services produces a range of training solutions that are very much performance-based, and that recognize the power of co-workers to contribute to the teaching process. We create programs that are highly structured, and include an amalgamation of on-the-job training and assessment experiences. We look to constantly narrow the gap between training and performance, enabling your company to build on its success to date through development of leadership, talent, and new skills.
